UTC Roof Terrace
The Unit Trust Corporation, based in Trinidad and Tobago, partnered with ACLA to transform unused roof space at the Independence Square Head Office into a relaxing terrace for employees. The design embraces regenerative principles, blending nature with urban functionality.
The envisioned terrace comprises three distinct zones designed for flexibility and versatility: a cozy lounge area, an inviting dining space, and a stylish bar section. To ensure all-weather usability for staff lunch breaks and official gatherings, thoughtful shading solutions are integrated throughout the design. Moreover, the strategic positioning of the terrace offers panoramic views of the capital city, from the bustling harbour to the serene natural landscapes beyond the neighbouring building rooftops. Currently undergoing feasibility assessments, the project aspires to commence construction during the later half of 2024, aiming to enhance the workplace environment and promote holistic well-being among UTC staff members.
